Terrace Manor Gets Involved with Community!!!

The Terrace Manor Tigers put the candidates up to task during the PTA meeting. The candidates running for commissioner & school board seats were drilled on various issues concerning the school & community by student council president ( Aireana Parrish) & vice president ( Malachi Walden ) One of the questions that was asked. "If elected, what are some of the things that would change in the school system & community?" Other questions concerned the dress code & school lunch menu. The mediator of the debate was our very own 4th grade teacher Ms. Bryant.

WHAT WE DO
Welcome to Terrace Manor Elementary School for the 2008-2009 school year. Mr. Gibbons with the support of Richmond County Board of Education and the TMES Faculty and Staff will provide students with a rigorous academic curriculum and educational environment that is conductive to learning. We will place high emphasis on academic achievement. The instruction will be driven by data collected from the CRCT. ITBS. Benchmarks and other school assessments. Every effort will be made to ensure that all students are provided with excellent instruction. We will (differentiate) adjust instruction to meet the needs of students. We believe that "Failure Is Not An Option"

STUDENTS  EXPECTATIONS
Students this year will bring many exciting opportunities. I encourage you to explore the many programs, clubs and activities that are here. We must always remember to be kind to others, especially new students. Invite them to join in your activities and to sit with you at lunch. We encourage you to lend a hand to a classmate who needs help with an assignment or a subject that is easier for you. Students we believe in respecting everyone. We ask that you thank your teachers and parents often, because they love and care about you.

BELIEFS
Parents, friends and others community stakeholders are invited to visit the school. We believe in teamwork and look forward to your visit. Again, I am very elated to be the instructional leader at this highly respected and historic school for the Belle Meade, Terrace Manor, and Glenn Hills community.
